Our 3,000 volunteers and their partnering organizations bring an unprecedented wealth of knowledge, new ideas, and skills to the fight to end malaria. As part of the Stomping Out Malaria in Africa initiative, we want to see this community of professionals thrive beyond the 2015 goals of Stomp.
We will be using public social media platforms such as Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, and this Tumblr page to not only keep in contact with participating Peace Corps Volunteers (PCVs) and their partners, but to also reach out and network with other people and organizations participating in the fight to end malaria. A public Google Docs folder has been set up to share resources, there is a dropbox account to share large files, and this website will serve as a place to share activity and showcase our best practices.
It is our hope that these online platforms will host a such a passionate community of malaria professionals, from volunteers to malariologists at Johns Hopkins University, that their conversations and combined efforts will continue beyond the stated goals of the Stomping Out Malaria in Africa initiative. If you are interested in joining our fight to end malaria, contact us through any of our social media platforms, or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org .
