Boot Camp V, Day 5: Country Presentations, Project Frameworks, and Supply Chain Management

Stomp Program Manager Matt McLaughlin leads a session about project logical frameworks and action planning.

After a day of rest and relaxation at the beach on Sunday, boot camp V participants are back to work today. Marking the half-way mark and fifth day of malaria boot camp V, the day was filled with country presentations from nine countries and sessions on project logical framework and supply chain management.

Staff Oarabile Dintwa and PCV Mary “Hayes” Hugueley started off the morning with a presentation about the malaria prevalence, interventions, and current Peace Corps malaria work in Botswana. Following Botswana’s presentation, participants from Senegal, Namibia, the Gambia, Guinea, and Zambia also shared relevant malaria information and activities in their respective countries.

Following country presentations, Matt McLaughlin, Stomp Program Manager, led a session about project logical frameworks and action planning. He walked participants through the process of putting together a project plan and necessary tools used for monitoring and evaluation. Participants divided into small groups and constructed their own project frameworks and action plans related to specific malaria interventions.
