Susanna Gieske worked with World Vision in her province to hold a village wide World Malaria Day event. They had prayers and drama skits about malaria prevention in the morning. In the afternoon, the community health workers wrote poems and songs about preventing malaria and the importance of sleeping under a mosquito net! Everyone loved the songs and the poems were a big hit.
The Environmental Health Technician from the MoH gave a great health talk about drug adherence and the importance of getting tested when you feel sick, and people did net hanging demonstrations.
Music, Dance and Education! It was a great day!
