Southern Zone Training

PCV started stomping in Tanzania with a couple hours at each of the three required  trainings (pre-service training, in service training and mid-service conference).  A couple hours resulted in a recognized project idea but not much action.

Last week with excellent facilitation from JHU, MASHA, PSI and TANAM; Stomp Out Malaria in Tanzania pulled off the first super-regional malaria training.  Action guaranteed because World Malaria Day was just a week away.

Participants: 19 Peace Corps Volunteers (PCV), 17  Community Change Agents (CCA)

Facilitators: Johns Hopkins University Center for Communication Program (JHU CCP), Mtwara Action for Self Help Activities (MASHA), Peace Corps (PC), Population Services International (PSI) and Tanzania National Malaria Movement (TANAM)

Date: 16-19 April 2012

Location: VETA, Mtwara
